developing INNOVATIVE strategies to mobilize the CHURCH so that through the Word of God disciples are made in every nation.
For Ambassadors FC Ohio, we will SERVE the greater Akron/Canton community in ways that Jesus modeled for us. We will operate internally as ONE TEAM and join others in their efforts to be a part of teams, using FOOTBALL as a door to enter into the community. We will INNOVATE on and off the field to mobilize good for the community, partnering with organizations, firstly the CHURCH, to bring people alongside us, inspired by God’s word, to positively impact the community.
Ambassadors Football Foundation:
FOOTBALL • FAITH • FUTURE is what distinguishes Ambassadors Football from all other ministries around the world. This holistic combination has been at the heart of the last 30 years of ministry around the globe as staff have developed innovative programs to reach different communities around the world. While we continue to learn and strive to innovate every day, this foundation provides the strength and effectiveness of all our activities.
Football
We are true sports people who love the game of football. We believe participation in football has inherent physical and emotional value, and that football at all levels provides opportunities for social, spiritual and vocational development. We seek to develop positive relationships with individuals and organisations within the football community in order to effectively utilise the opportunities created by the beautiful game.
Faith
We are Christians who are motivated to pursue a common vision by the love and grace we have received from the Father, uniquely revealed in his Son, Jesus Christ, and ever-present with us through his Holy Spirit. We endeavour to base all we do and our strategy and vision on the Word of God and prayerful attention to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is the example and teachings of Jesus that inspire us to believe in the reality of transformation and pursue our goals with integrity, accountability, innovation and servanthood. We prayerfully seek to partner with individuals, churches and organisations within the Christian community who share our mission and values. We desire to see others come to and grow in faith in Jesus through our ministry programs. We are committed to proclaiming and using God’s word as a central tool for discipleship (Mt 28:19-20; 2 Tim 3:16-17), reading and studying it with others and learning to obey it together.
Future
As a result of our belief in the reality of transformation and the opportunities we see for it through football, we are committed to developing programs and initiatives that provide ongoing benefits to participants in the long-term. We believe transformation should be holistic, changing the whole person and their environment to reflect the image of God. We seek to collaborate with other organisations, including government and non-government development agencies and socially responsible corporations to achieve our shared development goals
